Yeibichai Navajo rugs are distinctive weavings that feature ceremonial figures known as Yeis or Yei Bi Chei, which represent deities or spirit beings from Navajo mythology. These figures are depicted in stylized human forms, often shown in ceremonial dance or rituals, with distinctive masks and attire. The color palette of these rugs ranges from natural tones to vibrant hues, reflecting both the ceremonial context and the weaver's artistic vision. The rugs are known for their high-quality weaving, intricate designs, and cultural significance, as they symbolize important Navajo healing ceremonies like the Nightway.

Emerging in the early 20th century, Yeibichai rugs were influenced by an increased interest in Navajo culture and art, with traders and collectors encouraging weavers to create pieces that depicted traditional ceremonies. Today, skilled Navajo artisans continue to weave these rugs
