Contemporary Turkish Oushak Area Rug with Modern Colors 08'00 x 09'07 From
Esmaili Rugs Collection.
This hand-knotted wool contemporary Turkish Oushak rug features
an abstract floral pattern spread across an abrashed purple field. Large
expressive palmettes, lanceolate leaves, branches, blooms, rosettes and small
leaflets decorate the field in a captivating and artistic arrangement. The wide
main border echoes the designs of the field with its graphic blossom and leaf
meander design. Delicate rosette and leaf guard borders tastefully flank the
main border, adding a touch of simple grace and offsetting the bolder designs
of rest of the composition. A gorgeous color palette based around soft shades
of pink and purple comes alive with the addition of persimmon and ivory
accents. The unexpected combination of colors brings a great deal of dimension
and visual interest to the piece
