10 x 12 - Red Antique Turkish Oushak Rug - 74999

74999 Antique Turkish Oushak Rug, 10'00 x 12'03.

With its timeless elegance and decadent beauty, this hand-knotted wool antique Turkish Oushak rug is poised to impress. It appears like a sumptuous Italian velvet, recalling the rich and luxurious design furnishings of a bygone era such as the reign of King James I in Jacobean England. The abrashed red field beautifully displays an offset botanical pattern composed of large-scale cross-shaped medallions with serrated leaves linked by rosette buds. It is enclosed with a complementary cruciform style border. The highly effective use of negative space in the open field ensures the ornate medallions and border take center stage. Fine detailing, and a Classic design, this stately antique Turkish Oushak rug would bring a sense of drama and opulence to nearly any interior.
