Oltenia Romanian kilim rugs, also known as chilimuri, are traditional flat-woven rugs from the Oltenia region in southern Romania, known for their intricate patterns and subdued color palette. These rugs feature detailed designs inspired by nature and local folklore, including stylized floral motifs, trees, birds, and geometric shapes. The color palette typically includes earthy tones like browns, beiges, greens, and muted reds and blues, often derived from natural dyes. Made primarily from hand-spun wool, Oltenia kilims are crafted using a tight interweaving technique that ensures their durability and allows for intricate patterns.

Culturally significant, Oltenia kilim rugs are used in traditional Romanian homes as floor coverings, wall hangings, or decorative pieces. The weaving skills are usually passed down through generations, preserving the region's artistic traditions. Tod
