78382 Vintage Moroccan Beni Ourain Rug, 06'00 x 09'07.

With its simplicity, plush pile, incredible detail and texture, this hand knotted wool vintage Beni Ourain Moroccan rug is a captivating vision of woven beauty. The eye-catching diamond trellis and neutral colorway woven into this Moroccan rug work together creating a truly unique look. The abrashed beige field features a lozenge lattice and framed with tribal border along the vertical sides. Though deceptively simple, this classic design is steeped in Berber Tribe tradition. In Moroccan rugs, male motifs often appear on the outer portions of the composition, framing and enclosing the female motifs. This presentation can be seen as symbolizing fertility, as well as protection and the sanctuary of the family.
