composed of squares form a diamond lattice on a field of creamy-beige. Baraka
motifs are sporadically placed in the lozenges, symbolizing blessings, good
fortune and meant to drive away evil. The house-shape pentagon shapes possibly
representing Hamsa is related to warding off the evil eye. A horizontal of
checkerboard of 'partridge eye' symbols represent beauty. The two vertical
borders are composed of male symbols tying the rug together to completion. The
style of the ancient Berber tribes, including the Beni Ourain, influenced
